We have no idea who applied for the job and we are in no way in a good enough shape to attract a 'dynamic manager'.

Adkins is dynamic enough for me. He at least advocates 'football', for that, I'm happy with.

Good appointment for me. Scunny and Saints played good stuff under him and his record for getting teams promoted is decent. The Saints game will be fun too!

Exactly that. This is the best thing about this appointment - we are going to be entertained.

He also seems to have a very good eye for a goalscorer and/or finding ways to get them scoring plenty of goals.

Sharp, Paterson, Hooper and Lambert have all flourished under Adkins. I'd love to see him get Wally Downes back in to help him out with his inside knowledge of the club and undoubted ability to drill a back back.

Am really happy with this appointment - and I expect the players are too. Having said that, if they don't all turn up for training tomorrow wearing their Championship winners medals I'll be seriously disappointed in them!

My first choice. A good, intelligent, articulate manager, with a history of success under different circumstances and a tendency to use better midfielders more effectively than we've done recently. I think this is absolutely the right choice. All that remains to be seen is if it is a successful choice.

No he didn't. He was sacked before the final votes were in, but was doing enough to succeed.

+1....Adkins CV was far better than Poyets and should have been first choice if between the two...good record with 54% win rate ...hopefully he will give the squad a good shake up ...after all he's got no favourites so it should be on the cards !
