I'm amazed at how open the answers were to some of those questions.

Always easier to point the finger at those that are now gone

Does the Russian really expect us to believe that he had the only football manager in history who didn't want to spend money? Sky journalist had him in knots. Like the dig from Madejski, ''well Anton knows more than I do''.

Kind of refreshing, but also a bit of a sign of Zingaravich's inexperience under the kind of questioning the Sky guy was going with.

It's easy enough to deal with the likes of Fordham, Dellor, Williams or Peach who are reliant on you in the future, but the big boys don't need to keep him onside and so they can let loose a bit more.

Obviously there was a slight issue around the DoF setup we have here as well.

It sounds as if the money will be there in the summer though, no matter what division we are in

Faced by difficult questions, 99% of stuff spoken by people in football is mealy-mouthed cliched bs, so it's refreshing to encounter some honesty.

(Ah, the word's already been used.)

Someone on f365 suggested that footballers should be asked to do their pre- and post- match interviews in the style of american wrestlers.

Not seen the news conference yet, but judging by the comments on here regarding the things AZ said, it's almost as if Brian may have been reluctant to spend the entire budget so as to give himself more leeway if/when we did get relegated.

It's easier to be argue your case for beign relegated on a shoe-string budget thatn having spent QPR-amounts. Brian may have mis-judged AZs willingness to spend, or praps AZ is re-writing history. Who knows.

Nice little comment on KUMB,

"I hate Adkins so find them even more repulsive as a club."

barelylubedcock but have you not seen the thing he left up in the dressing room?

intolerable.

( :| )

Intolerable!

That's rather sweet really. He's put his personal disappointment to one side and obviously cares about his players.

i don't think it's by any means certain that Adkins is a superior manager to McDermott, but we've somehow avoided a massive clusterfuck and ended up with a decent manager who will give us a shot at promotion next year. Result.

Adkins managed to get Gaston Ramirez for Southampton - so his targets are at least better than looking at League One

Hoop Blah The guy from Sky's questioning just shows how they have their story written long in advance and are fishing for quotes to back it up.

They obviously want to make Zingaravich out as the bad guy for sacking McDermott and not giving him the backing in the transfer market, despite it appearing that he has giving him the backing.

Spot on. They have AZ done as the young billionaire with a football club to play with. Not often they get an opportunity to speak directly to rich owners....the bloke from Sky filled his boots..
