RockheadRumple Corperate box sounds a bit wank if I'm honest but it's better than not going at all.

schubert06 Those of you who know me, will know I am a man of simple means and frugal pleasures.
I have been, by fell circumstance, offered a corporate box ticket to the Arsenal game on Saturday. I know that the account manager was struggling to offload client tickets during Easter and I was one of the few Reading supporters he knew. I have also been informed to dress "in smart casual".
I am inclined to accept. I know I will see you all at the visitors end whilst I am forced to drink merlot and eat blue cheese and be subject to patronising and "sympathetic" conversation from blokes who actually prefer rugby union. And I won't be able to sing.
Ought I go? I hadn't an away ticket so have to reconcile that guilt too. What lines of banter might I use in such a situation?

In the exact same situation. Feel a lot better knowing that if we scored I wouldn't be the only one in a box to celebrate...

RockheadRumple You could tell them that we won a trophy last year. Clutching at straws though, maybe.
