Jason Roberts doesn't have to "take racism on the chin" because I honestly doubt he suffers it day in , day out. He has a great life and I doubt anyone on this board even thinks of him as a "black footballer" rather than "a footballer"(okay maybe frimmers). But still he bangs on about it day in day out - address issues by all means but don't look the worst in everything.
