windermere_royal Sunderland sacked Oneil with 7 games to go, so we ain`t alone in knee jerk reactions.

If only they had sacked him before, we might have got him instead of the mediocrity we wound up with!!

Pity that guy in your avatar ain't knocking your head off :)

Only - for the Xteenth time - ours wasn't a knee jerk reaction. Perhaps if AZ had had a knee jerk reaction before Xmas, rather than giving McDermott the opportunity to mess up another transfer window, we might be in a better position now.

After McDermott oversaw our dreadful defeats v Wigan and Villa, we were as good as down and the change of management became more about giving us a head start in preparation for next season's Championship campaign.

Sunderland are still above the drop zone and, in contrast to our situation, the sacking of O'Neill in those circumstances was a daft, knee jerk reaction.

Is there anyway to block morons like you on this forum, so I don't personally have to read your bullshit posts!

So you're saying that you don't think Martin O'Neill is a better manager than Adkins?

You never fail to amaze me Ideal. At what point did I suggest Adkins was better or worse than O'Neill? All I'm saying is you're a complete bellend for thinking that Adkins is mediocre. He's a bloody top manager who plays attractive football. Just because we didn't beat one of the best teams in the country, heck in Europe away from home you think he's mediocre. Its just an outrageous claim I think you're a few cards short of a deck (Many others will agree I'm sure).

But on the subject of O,Neill, what do Sunderland and Villa both have in common. He's both directly and Indirectly ruined both clubs. Any manager that gives Agbonlahor 2 new contracts improvement in 5 months is completely clueless in my book. Villa got completely screwed by that idiot O'neill for paying ridiculous wages and Randy has had to balance the books, hence the young squad.

As for Sunderland, £12m on Fletcher is too much, £5m on Graham is way too much and he's been sacked because he was sending Sunderland down.

Sunderland and QPR are the best examples of why spending shed loads of money doesn't gurantee success. Both could be relegated with us this season with similar points tallys. Swansea and Wigan should be the examples for us- spending a little bit of money wisely, but first and foremost, having a footballing philosophy and sticking to it through thick and thin. At present RFC have no footballing philosophy. I've watched virtually very game this season and I don't understand how we are trying to win football mathes. Contrast with West Ham and Stoke- both agricultural teams, but it has worked a treat for them.

Realistically, Adkins needs 4-5 seasons to re-shape the club. Hopefully he won't do a Rodgers and try to change too much too soon.

I`m sure AZ will give him the time, but the fans?, one classic comment from some dumb shit on FB, " same old same old, I expected NA to turn it round" and another "ADKINS OUT" words fail me on the sort of uneducated mongs that follow our football team.

And you talk about others being uneducated!!!??? You're 'avin a larf surely?

And one other thing, you seriously believe Blingy Zingy will give him time? He's a 30-year old Russian football club owner. You really are 'avin a larf this morning.

You don't think any of those comments were tongue in cheek or from WUMs on FB then? :|

I'm still waiting to be educated by Ian Royal on the importance of Media tranining - AZ shouldn't need media training to know that he doesn't slag people off who previously gave their all for this club and he can refuse to answer questions if he so wishes and in order to concentrate on talking about NA.

Let's hope we see that investment in the summer, because we're going to need it.

Hoop Blah Mags, obviously it was an exaggeration for effect, but Guthries position over the last few years has been deeper and he isn't a number 10 which is more what we tried to get him to play as.

As for his performances, I don't think they really were that bad. They might not have been the most eye catching and dazzlingly but you said he hadn't been the answer to our creativity problems, I've just offered up a pretty valid contributory factor in why. A bigger factor is generally how badly we've played on the whole and how we've set up badly at times.

I'm sure he also takes a fair share of blame for not forcing his way into the side and making himself undroppable.

Yeah this is a fair post, HB.

Zingarevich brings in Nigel Adkins who we can trust knows what he's doing at Championship level and who can take us back up.

Sunderland's owner has brought in Di Canio on a 2.5 yr contract. idiot!
