TommyF Being reported in the Mail that Pearce is to be dropped by Adkins over his contract dispute. No idea if true, we'll know in 15 hours I suppose.

Mad if true

The same article also states that he's turned down no less than eight contract offers from the club. If I was his manager that would piss me off too TBH..........

An injured keeper, a rb on the left, two wingers in the middle and two central players on the wings. Plus our smallest striker upfront on his own. Sauce?

An injured keeper? Adkins said the only injury is Kebe and everyone else is in contention.

That would be my side if Pearce is being an arse, maybe Alf could play up top in a more passing team though

Can't say my source, just someone close to the club!
When team is announced tomorrow, come back and remind me!

Gunter at left-back?
Feds hasn't played a game since returning to training, McCarthy has played at least two.
The invincible Leigertwood dropped?
No big man up front, something NA likes in this system?

Please, not just one up front. How the oxf*rd are we going to score goals with a loan striker up front at HOME? I'm not saying a 4-4-2 is the answer, I'm saying that Pogs up front on his own doesn't work. Where else are the goals going to come from if that's the case? And Pogs has only scored five in the Premiership all season!

With the entire midfield scoring 3 goals(with Kebe out injured and I'm presuming HRK on the bench) all season in the Premiership, just where are we going to score from? What a shambles McDermott has got this team into this season.

Good luck Adkins!

We've been a defensive team when we've played 4-5-1. If we haven't been on course for a good result, we've switched to more attacking formations. Little wonder that a lot of our goals have come from impact subs like ALF and HRK.

Pogrebnyak isn't on loan.

Hence why we're bottom of the league. None of it works.

I hope Adkins does change it a bit for tomorrow.

Actually the defensive 4-5-1 worked really well. We used it for 11 matches and gained 14 points (we were also unlucky not to get a further three away to Man City). That run of matches included playing the top three away from home and the fourth placed team at home. Our manager gained a Manager Of The Month award.

If (and I do admit that it is a very big If) we had used that system all season and maintained the same form, then we would be comfortably clear of relegation- in fact, we'd be mid-table, level on points with Fulham.

:D :D :D :D

11 games = 33 points maximum and you're chuffed with 14?

Highlighting that we played Man City away and getting MOTM doesn't sit with me, considering we've gained 8pts out of the other 5 teams down there with us, out of a possible 30pts? Wow. I'm amazed by the total denial.

why the oxf*rd should we persist with playing taylor, he is clearly useless, and we've got a fit McCarthy who could play. Adkins in being brainless moron shocker.

Wouldn't say Taylor's been useless, I think average is a far better word, and it's true we have two (and possibly three if Andersen's as good as they say) excellent goalies on the books. Maybe Adkins has seen something in training. He's certainly not afraid to change goalies around, he used three this year at Southampton.
