Strange to take Guthrie off - cos as soon as we did that we've resorted to long ball hoofing again

Can't believe I got up a stupid o'clock to watch this.

For those with any lingering hopes of staying up, time to give it up now.

Also, whoever said Morrrison was a Premiership defender should be sacked. Utter liability and about as mobile as an oil tanker.

First half was pretty good. Second half has been McDermottesque. It's disturbing that the first instinct when getting the ball for all of our players except Guthrie and HRK is to smash it into outer space. Cheers Brian

everyone else just isn't very good

new midfield and defense please

zinga and hammond have lost a lot of goodwill based on our going down without a fight relegation

breaking all the wrong club records, lucky to be on 23 points after going up as champions, southampton and west ham showing how shameful our conservative cowardly policy has been

well done to all

Yep. Amazed how Brian made such a Bolloxs up of this season. Still love him, but jeez, it hurts that we are so bad.

what gets me is all the people who were patting themselves on the back saying how sensible we were being.....west ham and southampton spent a few quid and now will share the jackpot next season...we go down with an average squad, an admirable balance sheet and absolutely no quality or fight, being embarrassed by southampton at home and having to spend millions next season to even compete to get up....so our sensible policy leads us to spending millions next year in a league with tiny tv revenues, wyup we got it spot on.....what a thoroughly embarrassing performance and embarrassing leadership at the club, even the change of manager, unlike the one at southampton, is nothing but a staystill move...jokeshop, let's go for 14 defeats in a row before the season is out

We have Karacan. One headless chicken in the team is more than enough.

multisync1830 with he lack of quality and effort: Double drop anyone?

Quality defo, effort ?- I think it's the only thing that got us the points we did get was spirit.
Double drop - it's possible as they will also be shot of confidence at being so out of their depth for a year.
We should have enough Champ players (and money to get some more?) and a good coach so should be OK. But needs the next 5 months to change a lot of things and get rid of a few.

My thought is that headless chickens at least run around a bit more than cocks (see what I did there!)

Championship players is what we need now. May as well get him back to join in and learn.

You mean like the part he played last season when we were, you know, in the Championship?!

His tracking for Arsenal's 4th last weekend was laughable. Got to get rid.

At the end of the day we are a Champ club (maybe now a reasonably sized one) but the style of play shows how much work needs doing. Not sure even a few decent players at 6 or even 10 mill (if they would even come to us) would have saved us and if it hadn't the finances could have been much worse (look at QPR wouldn't swap with them!)

Can't think of anything as de-motivational as watching us play. I want to cry, but no tears will come out.

The decision to sack Brian has been justified to be the wrong one - 0-1 1-4 and 0-2 - Poor old Brian - he really could not have done any worse. Sideways move by the club that frankly beggers belief!
