What the difference a 112 days make? How both men are right for the job...
and 33 days before his sacking he was deemed the best manager in the prem

No, he was deemed the best manager in the Premier League for the month of January. Unfortunately for him , August, September, October, November, December and February all also count for the league table.

January was a fluke, we should of lost all those games. West Brom should of been 5 up before we scored. 2 Cup wins against League One clubs.

Good luck, he made countless oxf*rd ups this season, he's gone, time to move on.

floyd__streete Cutting all the crap, I'd like to wish one of our very best ever managers Brian McDermott all the very best in his new job. He always had time for the fans at Reading and so deserves our unreserved well wishes. Congrats for falling on your feet in landing a job at a very big club in Leeds.

Thank goodness for sentient comment.

Norfolk Royal Six points for us next season then.

Just double up on the wingers and the attacking threat has gone. Play a few fast runners in midfield who can carry the ball 50 yards from where their lone target man loses it to the penalty area line where the defence is camped in a straight line, then just slip it off to an onrunning supporting player who slots it in.

thats exactly what he wants you to do...he's gonna double, double up on the flanks. Cede the middle ground, entice you in and hit you with a pincer movement

Congrats to Brian and good luck to him. I am not thrilled about the team he ended up with but a person can't control the nature of the opportunities when they arise.

Good Luck to you Brian. You are just the Man to take Leeds back to the heady days of the 60's/70's. They were a GREAT TEAM once, and they can be one again..........

Brian works on the T E A M basis,............

what's with all the leeds hatred - chill out, bring a bit of love into the world. Brian will do fine, doesn't need to worry about fans having patience as he plays a simple and effective system (at championship level) that is easy for players to pick up.

more worrying will be if Reading fans have the patience for Adkins, who will be trying to install a more complicated passing system and will use the next six games to try and work out which of our current players can adapt (and consequently lose those 6 games). out by december like rodgers?

Leeds 0 - 1 Sheff Wed

Massive game for both clubs. Leeds could be one result away from the bottom three this weekend.

@RichSaxton looked out of area from where I am. Need to step it up 2nd half, getting overrun a bit on midfield #swfc #lufc

So Bolton, Forest and Leicester will not take 4 points from remaining games whilst Leeds will win them all? You sir are a dick.

Some of the commentary was funny:

"Leeds looking disjointed", "Not passing", "getting over-run in midfield", "dropping too deep", "not finding a final pass"

was pure deja vu!

Bit that made me LOL was Danny Mills saying that McDermott needs to decide what type of team he wants Leeds to be. "Does he want them to play at a high tempo like Leeds are know for, or does he want them to get the ball on the ground and play football, like Reading" Just f*cking
