From December onwards I would agree, but before December Bale offered little in terms of outstanding performances. Suarez has been consistent all season

Because I don't think enough players will have voted for him after all the controversy that he's had even before this week - for instance I can't image one black player voting for him - and if he did I think the PFA might "lose" a few votes after the shit-storm they got over Ched Evans last year.

amazing how goals affect our perception of players since we tend to only really watch MOTD. Michael Carrick may well be more responsible for where his team due to them holding their shape based on his positional play etc but we never really see it.
