Silver Fox
Winchester Royal
No Fixed Abode Out of interest, what did Reading charge West Ham this season?

Wasn't it £40?

We used to be a club with decent ticket prices, usually less for a home game than we were charged for the reverse fixture...

If it was £40 then we still are :|

Yeah - it was £40, as West Ham is a "gold" category game, due to high away support at Reading in recent seasons.

Everyone except Wigan brings the full allocation of 2300 or whatever it is, so that's hardly a reason to make them 'gold category'.

I meant in the Championship as well. Southampton were a "gold" game too.

I guess that's how they work it out... :?:

I'm a away season ticket holder, I don't have any choice really. RFC will bill me for the ticket regardless, I could put it up for sale on Viagogo but who will purchase it if tickets are freely available from RFC.
Anyway, I like going to London games for the piss up.

Dad and I were thinking of coming down for this one but not for £49 for me.

Will be a shame to miss Random Inflatables though :(

Hammers fan coming in peace here...

To be quite fair to you all, £49 is very steep for this fixture. If it's any consolation to you, the cheapest seats for home fans are the same price.

I remember paying £40 to come to Reading in December and I thought that was pretty expensive too.

It's all getting a bit ridiculous really.

I'm not sure I agree with the boycott - especially considering it's the last game of the season and RFC's last game in the Premiership for at least a year. You'd be better off sending a big crowd and having a right old laugh down here, and maybe enjoying a memorable result - on previous form you'll probably turn us over again! Beyond that, when they show the highlights on MoTD, wouldn't it be a little bit sad to see such a sad rabble of whimpering RFC fans providing the backdrop for the final match of the season.

Obviously, it's up to you lot, but I for one am hoping for a good turnout and some enjoyable banter. As mentioned before, you lot might well be giving us another battering!

See you in a few weeks.

£40 for West Ham to come to Reading is also a lot, particularly for such a shit game.

sandman Well that's just going to mean that I'll use it even more. It's the new craze sweeping the nation like gangnam style, harlem shake and that fandangoing thingy just more annoying.

Didn't take you for a wrestling fan, Sandman

And thus west ham have the desired effect. Less away fans for the same income as if the seats were half price and double the people showed up.

Crafty.

God I hate West Ham more and more every year, the most despicable bastards in English football by a mile. In every way.

Well, on second thought, let's not go to Upton Park. It is a silly place.

This is the work of Karen Brady - she's on record as preferring "pricing for revenue" to "pricing for attendance".

Would rather go to Fulham, although I feel that's a bit steep at £40, I haven't been there before.

Can't stand Upton Park anyways, absolute no chance for £49!

I wasn't going anyway, but I'm more than happy to turn my non-attendance into a boycott if that helps.
