LOL your "quote" is exactly the one from the Leeds story i posted, from the EP

Le Fondre is Reading FC’s leading scorer this season with 12 goals, but has made just one start in four games under new manager Nigel Adkins.

Course it is. Leeds are the BIGGEST CLUB EVAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

Up there with MASSIVE Wednesday, Nottingham "double european cup winners and oxf*rd all else*" Forest, and West Ham "The Academy of Football"/"singlehandedly won a world cup..." United.

*yeah, ok, a league title and a few league cups. But basically a small club that massively overachieved for almost two decades before returning to normality. Because many people remember that period the perception is they are a 'big club', that and their fans don't stop harping on about it.

No issue with him leaving if its to a PL club

Don't want him to go at all of course but then I think NA may have a Billy Sharp in mind for next season.....

RoyaltyInMyBlood Not too worried about Alfie IMO, Hammond isnt going to let him go for anything less than 4-5M, and with that we can get Austin.
Sorted.

Charlie Austin has just bought a house in Newbury on the new racecourse estate...

House sales are not confirmed unless Fochar says they're true :D

If true that's bloody long commute for Burnley.....

Quite a coup for Newbury, the Hellenic League Premier Division won't know what's hit it

LOL - as if Leeds can afford him and we'd sell. They might sign Church though, he's immense...

If he goes anywhere it will either be to a Premier League club, to improve his wages, or a Championship club that promises more regular starts. McD will surely only be tempted to use him as an impact substitute again...

Ian Royal Where are Leeds going to find the £3 million minimum it'll take to prize him out of Hammond's vice like grip?

Why would he go to Leeds where he'll arguably have less chance of getting promoted than he would here, where a lot of his competition is likely to be gone and we could well revert to 4-4-2 at the lower level where he'll be much more likely to start than he is this season?

Why would we sell at any price to a Championship rival when we're already almost certain to lose Church and Roberts, Hunt is out of contract and Pogrebnyak is a high earner who could well attract interest or want to move? That would leave us with Blackman, who has made the majority of his appearances on the flank, not upfront.

Him going to Leeds would be an outrage.

Buy some new strikers?. Wouldn't call it an outrage TBH. He's only had 1 good month.
