Le Fondre is Reading FC’s leading scorer this season with 12 goals, but has made just one start in four games under new manager Nigel Adkins.

Arnie_Pie He will score loads for us next season in the Champ so it would utterly stupid to get rid of him.

maffff Course it is. Leeds are the BIGGEST CLUB EVAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
Up there with MASSIVE Wednesday, Nottingham "double european cup winners and oxf*rd all else*" Forest, and West Ham "The Academy of Football"/"singlehandedly won a world cup..." United.
*yeah, ok, a league title and a few league cups. But basically a small club that massively overachieved for almost two decades before returning to normality. Because many people remember that period the perception is they are a 'big club', that and their fans don't stop harping on about it.

RoyaltyInMyBlood Not too worried about Alfie IMO, Hammond isnt going to let him go for anything less than 4-5M, and with that we can get Austin.
Sorted.

Ian Royal Where are Leeds going to find the £3 million minimum it'll take to prize him out of Hammond's vice like grip?
Why would he go to Leeds where he'll arguably have less chance of getting promoted than he would here, where a lot of his competition is likely to be gone and we could well revert to 4-4-2 at the lower level where he'll be much more likely to start than he is this season?
Why would we sell at any price to a Championship rival when we're already almost certain to lose Church and Roberts, Hunt is out of contract and Pogrebnyak is a high earner who could well attract interest or want to move? That would leave us with Blackman, who has made the majority of his appearances on the flank, not upfront.
Him going to Leeds would be an outrage.

Royalee LOL - as if Leeds can afford him and we'd sell. They might sign Church though, he's immense...
