oldebiscuit Out for West Ham. In for Fulham.
But FFS ditch the inflatables. It says everything that is wrong with the modern day football fan. Inflatables are equivalent to jesters Hats, Rumble Sticks and Face Paint. If you like all that shit then you should go to your local Summer Fete.

Absolutely! You must NEVER go to a football match and have fun!

No you go to watch the football on the pitch.

The actual football often gets in the way of a good day out

the way you think you know me from one comment,
Your "Categories" are just pathetic. Take football for whatever it is: Win, Lose, Draw...Promotion, Relegation etc. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions/moan so stop pretending your so perfect

So you are saying your kids are not worth spending that sort of money on then? Even though you would be taking them to see their favourite team play away in their last game in the premiership for what might be a while.
You never know, the next time Reading are in the Prem your kids might be taking you! But hey, you know how much you do or don't want to spend on them. It's just sad when your thriftiness outweighs their enjoyment with their old man!

Compare the £175 for the East End Experience with other "family orientated" experiences. That money could be spent far more wisely.

I agree that there are better ways to spend money but that's not the point. The way he/she worded the post it looks like the sons are a burden to the poor soul. 'If only I didn't have to drag them along I could afford to go!'
Still, each to their own.

Never understood why a football club would choose a song that goes:

"... just like my dreams they fade and die...." LOLz

Who cares about West Ham, they're hardly rivals. If we want rivals we should be looking at Watford and QPR really as they seem to be much more in our area in more ways than one

Spot on. It's also from a bygone age. With a couple of coincidences thrown in, Pears soap, A schoolboy player that played on the pitch prior to first team games, a popular song at the time etc. It would never catch on today.

The fact you are all declaring yourself OUT makes me so happy, I might buy two tickets and leave early twice.

With all due respect to I_<3Mcdermott - I fully accept that West Ham are a bigger club than Reading - however they are not bigger than Manchester Utd or Arsenal and there is no way I am going to pay more to see Nolan doing a chicken dance than I paid to see the champions at Old Trafford. And my adult ticket for Arsenal was less than the childs ticket price is for West Ham.

Don't even know what they're trying to brag about either. Yes we're relegated but they haven't had a hand in sending us down because we beat them earlier in the season and when we go to their place we'll have been down so again they'll have no effect on us. Pretty sad state of affairs for a club whose fans consider the club they support to be a big club coming on here celebrating our relegation.
