Royal Lady Gawd knows I moan and whinge on here

Royal Lady Gawd knows I moan and whinge on here - but I truly cannot see why people are complaining? If you expected to win that game and stay up then, sure, you'd be disappointed with that performance, but in the real world we were never going to stay up.
But, we played ok - there were glimmers of what could be next season, with a few more players in, and Adkins continuing to work on their passing. Their heads didn't drop, they kept trying to push for a goal - we were passing the ball well - some players were starting to make runs which were unheard of a few weeks/months back. I was happy with what I saw - sure, if we don't strengthen in the Summer then I'd be hopping made, but that's hardly likely is it?
Look to the future guys - have faith in Adkins and the players - give them your support not knock them all the time - and you will be rewarded! (and no, I haven't been drinking!)

Cripple Creek I've read every match report I can think of in British newspapers and they have all said it was absolutely dire.
Yep, Clockwise.

Yep, Clockwise.
That's just the media deciding it's a better story if a nil-nil between the two bottom teams who are both relegated is portrayed as some kind of horror show.
In fact, we played better and created more chances against QPR than we have in most other games this season.

Cripple Creek To paraphrase John Cleese in Clockwork: "It's not the despair, I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand."

floyd__streete The whole 'McD was sacked to give Adkins time to experiment' bobbins doesn't really stack up when he fields exactly the same starting XI who failed against Norwich
Guthrie played well in midfield but his set-pieces were poor. Blackman was absolutely diabolical; playing as a winger, his lack of confidence on the ball is summed up by him turning and shileding the ball with his back to the opposition goal whenever he is under pressure.
Our fans are complete idiots. The love-affair with ALF I find staggering, Pog is twice the player. Pog turns and hits a glorious effort which curls just wide second half.....and the Le Fondre chant comes up. ALF once again mainly anonymous when he came on.

Dave the rave From the comments on here and on the radio after the game it seems that people are split 50:50 on whether we were rubbish or not.
Anyone who enjoyed any part of that game or thought it was in any way positive is an out and out sadist.
We were rubbish, the game was rubbish and QPR were rubbish. The passing was mainly rubbish, the final ball (not that we managed to attempt many) was rubbish.
As another poster said, QPR and us deserved what we got and it was fitting we both confirmed our fates together yesterday.
One glimmer of hope was the defence which looked ok but most players out there are not cut out for a passing style of play or decisive link up/counter attacking.
I was hoping two teams who have let their fans down so badly this season might have had a go at each other but we were served up utter, utter shite yesterday.
There also seems to be a debate as to whether Pog was any good yesterday or not. He was not.

Extended-Phenotype I'm all for being encouraged by progress, but I think some people on here are getting a bit too overexcited by what transpired on Saturday.
Playing at home, up against the shittest team in the league, we couldn't score a goal, had only 5 shots on target, and according to some sources didn't even have the most possession.
This was a 'championship' game for all intents and purposes. As an indication of what next season is going to be like, I can't say I'm that excited.
I will however give yet another pat on the back for Jobi. Only outfield player this season who can really hold his head up high. MOM and POS for me.
