The club didn't offer Roberts a new deal. JB activated a clause in his contract for an extra year and did so earlier in the season. It was a few months ago word came out about how serious his hip injury was, so this 'new deal' by no means he's on the road to recovery or will be fit next season. All it means is he was clever enough to secure another years salary on 20+ thousand per week!
