The Play-Offs Thread 2013

by winchester_royal » 02 May 2013 20:44

My favourite part of the footballing calendar (whenever Reading aren't in 'em obviously)

Parky's bantams 3-1 down at half time to Burton.

I'm watching the Northampton v Cheltenham game which is quite possibly the most disgusting game of football ever to be televised, though the pitch is pretty horrendous tbf. Cheltenham's no. 29 is seriously bad though.

They're back in it at 2-3 down. Gives them a reasonable shot at the second leg.

The other game's tight too, Northampton 1-0 up iirc

The Blades win only their second game in 11 to take a 1-0 lead back to Huish Park.

It would take a major turnaround in form for them to win promotion. It's local game for me so I'll be very pleased if they manage it. Seeing Kitson play against Reading just down the road is a nice prospect.

It wasn't a great game last night, would expect Brentford (if they get through) to wipe the floor with either of them at Wembley

Brentford only drew 2-2 with Sheffield United a few weeks ago thanks to a 90th min goal.

I think the Doncaster match will have hurt them so much they'll either come out flying today or fall apart.

Lot of empty seats at the Swindon game.

Yeovil playing some really tidy stuff, 1-0 up against Sheffield United.

Kitson on for Sheffield United but may be off again soon the way he's going.

2-0 Yeovil, seemingly on their way to Wembley.

I don't mind who goes up through the League 1 playoffs as long as it's not Sheffield United.

I would like Yeovil to come up as it would be a relatively localish game for me to go to.

I see that Yeovil are really celebrating like they've won promotion. :|

You haven't won anything! Yet.

Would love Swindon, Yeovil and Brentford to all come up.

Take Barnsley, Burnley and Doncaster away.

Carrot Crunchers win !

by Glory Boy » 06 May 2013 16:21

Great !. The one team I DIDN'T want to win the Div 1 play-offs was Sheff Utd. One of Brentford ,Swindon or Yeovil are all great for different reasons.

Agreed but  General Football.

Hopefully a Swindon/Yeovil final, although I'd feel sorry for Uwe Rosler.
