Disagree whilst Alf has made a big contribution he never seems to deliver when he starts in matches.

I think Hal Robson Kanu would be a deserved winner, Benchboy under Mcdermott but every time he has featured he always has an impact on the game and he has massively improved in my opinion I didn't rate him last year at all.

In fairness HRK would be my second choice. I rate him too. But ALF has been our only record breaking/award winning player this season, so that is why he edges it for me.

usually go by contribution over entire season, so must be someone who has played alot of games. and consistency over standout occasional performances.

so this year its quite tough on both those fronts.

if i kept to those criteria it would have to be Mcanuff, marriappa and........struggling........LEDGE :D

or if i shift my usual criteria to reflect the way the season has gone it would be......ALF, Mcanuff, HRK

HRK, Mariappa, McAnuff for me. McCarthy would be in the mix if he'd played some more as I'm pretty confident he'd have done well.

McAnuff for me. He may have his limitations but he rarely fails to put in a good shift and at least shows that he actually cares.

Definitely. Epitomised in one of the home games earlier this season when we had a throw in and he just started slowly walking away from the taker, head down with his back to what was going on.

Also voted for McAnuff (and I actually did vote, during the QPR game when I couldn't be facked to watch it)

Always puts in a shift even when it isn't working out for him and he's being racially booed by the East Stand.

Played loads of games, works hard, had a few decent matches, he's better qualified than anyone else I can think of.

Jobi.

Sure, like all the players in this team and others his form took a dip here and there, but he never stopped trying. Stood out more often than anyone else for all the right reasons, his limitations don’t shadow his qualities – our most creative player of the season, and my player of the season.

Good work, cap’n.

Don't be silly, he did that on purpose to provide a diversion.

I voted McAnuff. Absolute no brainer IMO but hey what do I know?

Great great captain & I hope he keeps it next season.

McCarthy probably could have got it had he not got injured at QPR though.

Have you been here at all this season?? Least inspiring captain in the division, shows no where near as much passion as Jem and Mapps. He has had his good games and good spells but no where near the consistency that mapps has shown.

Couldn't decide this year so haven't voted. No stand outs across the season in my opinion...

Voted Mariappa in the poll when it first appeared, but my official vote went to Jobi.

100% every game and finally been put in the CAM role under Adkins. Plus I love the guy.
