I can't help but think that in a venn diagram with 'People who think Pog is a rubbish footballer' and 'people who don't really understand football', there would be a high degree of crossover.....

If you look at what has been said it basically translates to "if a decent offer came in I will go, but until it does i will stay"

No story in this at all.

Ouroboros

Royalclapper Archetypal mercenary. Used his brief spell at Fulham to gain a move to someone a bit wet behind the ears who would handsomely reward him with a decent paycheque for very little.

I do find the "6 goals in 12" a little :| - if you look at it as 3 goals in 11 it's not so great. And after a few games he quickly went off the boil there..

If you look at it as 0 goals in 9 it's actually pretty rubbish.

Pog out!

Allyh84 We should cash in on him ASAP if he has 4 years left. I bet we could sell him for silly money.

Akins also said he reckons Roberts can be a force again next season. And remember how good he was in the Championship. He wins a lot of fouls and holds the ball up a lot better than Pogrebnyak.

Do you mean Adkins?

And if you think Roberts is a lot better than Pogrebnyak, then you don't have a clue mate. Pogrebnyak will be a lot better in the championship next season than Roberts if he stays.

Roberts holds the ball up better than Pog?..you just have to me kidding.if you mean backing into the defender then falling over when touched then yes Robbo does a great job.

His performance away at Chelsea earlier in the season was class. If he reproduced that more often he'd easily bang in 20+ goals next year.

Great goal too.

He's better than most other Championship strikers. It could be worse, we could have Darius Henderson back..?

yappy
St. Brynjar Really, 8 Premier League goals and you're putting him on Bongani Khumalo level? Worse than Brian Howard? Emerse Fae? JOHN F*CKING HALLS?

It's actually only 5 league goals, his 3 other goals came in the cups, which is a pretty poor return. I wouldn't put him in the same bracket as Fae, but considering the wages we're giving him, I fail to see how so far Pog is nothing but a flop.

For the season we've had 5 isn't awful. And the Chelsea away and West Brom home games are more than enough for me to consider him more than a flop.

AbovetheI I think he's playing it safe if he's said that, as he knows he's been bitterly disappointing this season and hasn't lived up to the hype he produced when he played for Fulham. That being said, there's bound to be a prem team who can see him fitting in.

People tend to forget that Dean Horrix scored only once in 20-30 games for us in his first season. However, the people who went to the games recognised his contribution to the team and never got on his back. That said, if that was now I would still expect the brain dead who contribute on this board to complain because he wasn't scoring enough goals.

Steve Moran had a great history with previous clubs and "worked hard" every game

Hopefully Pog will be more like Colin Gordon though

Pogrebnyak is a quality footballer who has lacked service and still managed to put in positive performances.
