royalp-we Is that the template of the new Bayern Leverkusen shirt, with sleeves NFA?

I hope we do change supplier and therefore not end up with that oxf*rd Odense kit. Even Under Armour or a Sondico effort would be better than Puma IMO. Our home kits haven't lived up to expectations since 05/06; and even they weren't manufactured very well. Nike or Adidas please.

Not Leverkusen, similar to the Chelsea design a couple of seasons ago.

Here's Yeovil's new Sondico kit.

I really do dislike a hooped shirt without hooped sleeves/arms.

Wipped apparently the club has had a tip off that the kits have been leaked. i wonder if we'll see an earlier than normal reveal by the club, or will they risk a fan posting them up. was it JJB or JD that beat them to it a couple of summers ago?

Interesting that a week later the club announce the Waitrose renewal before a possible leak by a fan, or coincidence. Maybe we'll see an earlier than normal kit reveal. It would make a nice change!

Totally agree. It completely defeats the point of it.

I don't know why we leave it so late any way. Other clubs reveal with a handful of games to go to start drumming up interest. Some even play their final home game in the new kit. Reading wait until the end of July... If someone has got a picture out, I hope they post it up on Twitter. And yes, Wipped, a sports shop did beat RFC to the reveal a few summers ago. Lightening could strike twice!

Brentford have signed a deal with Adidas.
Blackburn a deal with Nike.

Delay in announcing the replacement is to maximise the selling off of the old kit that no-one liked, before introducing the new kit that no-one likes.

It'll be offically announced in the 2nd week of July with those who preorder able to get the home kit on 1/2/3 August but having to wait until September to get the superior designed away kit.

Nothing like creating a little bit of demand, money and interest in the close season is there, still it's the Reading way you know

I like that, especially the sponsor being lower than usual.

More of a fashion statement than a football shirt, but it doesn't look that bad, I like it!

Alas, I will go through life with a sense of unfullfilment for not being able to wife Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones, just as I will never see this shirt come to fruition

2 points of note, Jay is an absolute legend, and Kes is a oxf*rd tit who specialises in the art of douche baggery.

That is such a simple and yet outstanding design. My only concern is that it will wind up the feral element of Leeds fans. Do we really want to achieve that?

For years I have always found half and half shirts to be way more impressive. Probably dates back to classic European ties of the 1970s and seeing the likes of Feyenoord.

I was having a discussion with my mates the other day about whether top clubs have to pay suppliers for their kits or whether it's seen as a form of sponsorship. I thought that in the Prem and probably all of football league that teams probably get their stuff for free - but my mates were sceptical. They mentioned some story about how a player (I forget who) threw his shirt into the crowd after ever game had to pay for it himself.

Does anyone know?

Reading have in the past made players pay for shirts they gave away, yes. Marcus Hahnemann was the main one.
