super darren caskey Stop the moaning Gorkss was a beast last season in the Championship and he will be doing a job for us again next season too i hope.Maybe hes impressed Adkins in training this week.

You cant go by his spell at Wolves who are a very shit football team.Even f@cking Cristiano Ronaldo couldnt improve them pcunts

Your all be signing his praises at full time you mongs

Just in case no-one's picked this up.

He slotted back in nicely where he left off. Generally out of position and beaten for pace on most occasions.

floyd__streete Points per game under Brian this season: 0.79
Points per game under Nigel this season: 0.625

Very underwhelmed by Nigel's 8 games in charge.
The 'experimentation period' spin which has been put on it should ensure we have a strong start to next season :!: I think if Nigel doesn't take us str8 back up he'll probably pay with his job.

Bizarre stuff again today. Gorkss :?: Really :?: Couldn't he have just picked up the phone to Brian or Neil Warnock to find out how capable Kaspars is in the Premier League. Disastrous performance from the back 5 who were all very very poor. The first goal we conceded was just shocking, f@rt-@rsing around with the ball in our own 18 yard box.....we don't have the players to play like Barcelona, Nige :!:

For 15-20 mins after getting it back to 2-2 we played some decent stuff and were completely wasteful with possession and some half chances. But with our defence you always expect Reading to concede at any time. Morrison, for instance, has played 7 of Adkins 8 games in charge despite playing consistently appalingly in just about all of them.

Straight yes or no, would you swap managers with Leeds right now if you could?

Overwhelming NO from me.

Obv's we are far from the finished articles but, even with him having made no signings, Adkins has us grabbing large shares of possession and racking up shots as opposed to earlier in the season where any shot on or off target in the first 70 minutes was both a surprise and a bonus.

I would swap back to Brian not having been sacked, and us keeping this season going for a few weeks longer before the automatic relegation.

Playing wise, Adkins seems to have got us moving in the right direction. The real problem that needs work on is making it difficult for opposition teams to score against us, it's just been way too easy and yesterday was a prime example.

Pog is terrible and doesn't even look like putting in an effort to actually win the ball - unacceptable IMO. Service or no service, if you're on the pitch it's up to you to get involved and work on your game until you find a way to have at least some effect on proceedings. The Champ is going to be as tough as ever next season and while the standard of general play is lesser and slower than the Prem along with poorer finishing from strikers, there is a fair bit of work to do in order to even get us in promotion contention next season.

Oh right, because we were playing so well and on such a good run of results just prior to his dismissal?!

Automatic relegation would have come around just as quick with McDermott, we probably wouldn't have got Adkins and would have lost the time we have had to get ahead of the game in terms of prep for next season.

The right decision was made at the right time as it happens.

AZ gave Brian time, things looked to have started going for us a little just after christmas but then a shocking lack of activity in the January window and the reversion to the pre-xmas form spelled the end for Brian and AZ correctly decided that we should get rid and give a new manager time to review what ability there was in the squad prior to next season and so give us a much more constructive summer in terms of squad building.

it could be argued that if AZ was so set on money being spent in January he should have replaced the manager in November/December. Not sure if AZ just expected BMc to spend or if BMc said he was going to spend and then changed his mind.

Results may not have improved a lot, but performances certainly have.

How come none of Bakers' dozen's posts show up. Just got a PM off him, the rest of you can suck it.

Baffles me how he gets blocked from posting for a bit of good natured stick poking yet we have some proper WUMs on here who go unnoticed.

Results have got worse. Attacking performance seems to have improved at the expense of defensive performance

Bakers Dozen is a ledge. Not sure why this is. I think he was going after Platy a bit? Maybe he has wound up our fearless mod?

I don't get how some people on here can't take a bit of a joke even if it is at our expense. We sure do love to give it out. Football fans cant take things too seriously. The best thing about football is the taking the piss out of rival teams. If you give it you have to be prepared to take it though.
