The owner of Reading Football Club will be put under the radio spotlight this Sunday by his own club chairman.

The two most prominent people at Reading FC will take to the airwaves at noon on Reading 107 in the latest of the Sir John Madejski Interviews.

Listeners should tune in to hear Sir John interview Anton Zingarevich, getting some insights into his background and his ambition for the club.

Sir John said: “I am sure many people in Reading will love hearing his story too.”

Supposedly we've scouted over 900 games this season.

We have scouted over 900 games now and that looking at European players in important. He said players there see a good way to the premier league is via the Championship and they'll use that in negotiations with players coming in.

Academy is key and one thing needed to secure cat 1 is the infrastructure, sounded almost as though that's all we needed and hasn't yet been graded.

Growing the club too through success etc and the stadium expansion which will be done when it is necessary rather than just to 'have a bigger stadium.'

Sounded good overall, oh and now this season is about winning the league, so we know where the expectation is. I believe that's higher than it has been before which makes me wonder how the team will cope with that expectation!

They both came across like they get on very well, contrary to what some troublesome rumour mongers would like us to believe. There was nothing earth shattering in there, and it was all positive. The club appears to be in good hands, and they're working hard and investing off field in building the club and the brand. Long-term I feel there's a lot to look forward to. The biggest problem we have is impatient fans who aren't prepared to wait, and want success tomorrow; and that goes for the new owner who now expects promotion next season, which raises expectations all through the club, and those players will have to manager that pressure well. That's a big ask!
