TBM I don't really understand all these Middle Eastern teams spending shit loads buying decent players/squads etc - i mean the competitions they enter could probably be won if they just bought players from the Championship

Again, it's all a pissing competition amongst themselves to show how rich they are and how they can spend so much more than the others can.

If it is a short term deal and the aim is to increase awareness of this team/league then it may be worth it financially speaking.

A bit like Rivaldo playing in Angola (he was excited about 'the project'), or Rivaldo playing in Uzbekistan (he was excited about 'the project'), or Rivaldo playing in......

Raul just won the league with his team in Qatar. His team is made up of him, a load of Qatari's and that Belhadj bloke that played for Pompey. Raul is on £200,000 a week (tax free of course)

Yeah true but surely they would just buy a Premier League side and compete with all the other rich owners out there....

I'm not sure they want the kind of public scrutiny that would come with owning a PL team...

Didn't he also play for Vietnam cement works or something, or was that Denilson?

Apparently Fabregas is on his was to United. Good signing, probably means Fellaini is staying put.

Alexander Litvinenko Maybe their criteria is to get a Russian "name" with PL experience.

Despite winning Ligue 2 by six points, Monaco averaged crowds of 5,295 in the 18,521-capacity Stade Louis II. Out of 20 teams, it was the 13th lowest average crowd in the division.

That's a lower avg attendance than Luton Town, in England's 5th tier. Lolz.

Luis Suarez confirms he wants to leave Liverpool this summer.

Although saying that, without Luis Suarez's goals this season, Liverpool would still have finished seventh in the Premier League table.

Good riddance tbf - judging by that interview he gave he feels hard done by.

Perhaps if he took the racism, biting, stamping, diving and cheating out of his game, maybe he would've had a nicer experience in this country? Just a thought.
