"I leave you with two anecdotes, verified by trusted members of the hack pack on Saturday. Players from Reading’s Simod Cup winning team of 1988 were invited back to celebrate the 25th anniversary and to parade at half time. Yet the club failed to put on food and refreshments for them and they had to socialise in a local pub.A total lack of class from Reading FC."

Sounds about par for the course...... M.Mouse organisation.....

Probably explains why only three of them bothered to attend the presentation. Shambolic.

It's a typically shallow piece of commentry from afar without any consideration for the realities of our season or situation though.

Bored of seeing these pieces in the national media.

The first one is, I think, a different column. Mancunian with an Irish family, if I remember rightly.

Given some of the speculation earlier in the thread, one post here is funny.

Just amazed Hoop has managed to extricate himself from the fence he's been sitting on for the last few years.

I read the book on holiday and I'm not convinced it is kitson. Sure there are bits that sound like him, it's one comment to me that stands out. He says he joined a club and they had just moved grounds, and a load of players had bought flats in the old stadium. Becuase he was new he didnt have the opportunity. Kits hasn't been part of a team like this I don't think?

TSF can't write everything correctly or it would not be secret for long. I expect a lot of stories written about him are actually things that other fooballers have experienced and a lot of stories based on 'I once played with this bloke who' and that is actually him

He definitely throws in the odd-bit of deliberate misinformation to confuse people - otherwise, as you say, it'd be too easy!

No. My complaint was people guessing what has happened and then announcing it as fact.

This could be talking about anyone at the end of their contract really, but if secret footballer is Kitson he'll know a player of ours in a contract dispute who has turned down money in that region....

That's a great read. It has to be Pearce.

It fits, but it could be any number of players and clubs.
