If he goes, I hope we can keep hold of Leigertwood. Not sure whether he'd be willing to play a bit-part role but he's proven to be an excellent midfielder and we could do far worse in the event of Karacan or Guthrie getting injured.

Why he'd be plenty good enough to be cover, he's showed time and again he's very good at Championship level.

After the MASSIVE impact he mad least season I think we would be foolish to sell him for less than £50 million.

You're obviously an utter moron then aren't you.
Leigertwood had a huge impact in our promotion campaign, and had some good games last year too. Our players all looked very isolated last season as superior players passed it 'round them.
If Leigertwood stays, he'll again be an important player for us, as anyone who knows anything about football will agree

In which case you're also assigning those attributes to Adkins as well because I don't think he rates Leigertwood that highly either.

If we can get a decent fee for him then that's a plus. It also clears another player from the wage bill and would hopefully allow Adkins to bring in someone he rely wants / is more suitable in that position.

Win win in my book.

A terrible buy. Good rep, good stats, but injured. To join in Jan and not be match fit by the end of the season is just awful. I had real hopes for this guy but so far we have seen nothing. I still think he could be a great player for us and he owes us one season at least.

No point keeping him if he really wants out although I can't see many people queuing up for him after a total of around 90 minutes of football.

From the brief bit of football I saw of him under Adkins, it did look like he could be a decent player if fit. I'd like to see us hold on to him until at least January, if anything, just to see whether or not he is any good... can't see it affecting his value too much.

Apparently looks really good in training. Could be our best midfielder. Good tackler and passer. Holds the ball well also. Think we must hold onto him unless he's not in favour with adkins

I think he would be a marvellous squad player for season 13/14, if he wants to go, or any player that doesn't want to play for us, should be released without question.

With all due respect... Leigertwood would be the anti-Christ to our new passing 'regime' and I don't think under the watchful eye of our Russian owner, he'd ever be allowed to play - disregarding everything he did for us.

Adkins hasn't had the benefit of watching Leigertwood for near enough three seasons in the Championship. What's your excuse?

Leigertwood was the envy of a lot of sides last year, in particular after we beat West Ham one of their supporters told me he wished they'd had Legs instead of Nolan.

With all due respect that's speculative hogwash.

He proved that he is nowhere near good enough for the Premier League. We need players who can step up.

HRK, McCarthy, McCleary, Pog, Mariappa, Carrico can all play in the premier league I'm sure. We should be looking to sign good players, or players with real potential and quite frankly Leigertwood goes into the Noel Hunt category for me.

Not sure if those comments were taken out of context, I hope so. A midfield quartet of Carrico, Guthrie, Karacan and Akpan rotated over a season in the Championship would dominate with McCleary and Robson-Kanu out wide.

Yep, look what happened at Wolves when they tried to make the donkeys play passing football. They undermined the manager deliberately because they knew they'd be first to go once the transfer window opened.

That Nordic donkey they got in to manage them hardly helped things!!
