Fair enough - I think both they and Blackpool will be fairly mid-table next season. But as the poster a few above said, you never know in this league.

The majority of odds for next season's title/promotion that I've seen across different bookmakers make QPR favourites, with Reading, Leicester and Bolton the next set of contenders a little way off QPR.

Will Udinese B still have the likes of Vydra?

The assumption were going straight back up is silly though.

Could be any of QPR, Leicester, Bolton, Wigan, Forest, Watford, Brighton and Leeds.

Whilst watching the Playoff final i believe one of the commentators mentioned a change in rules that meant the Udinese players after going back couldn't all be loaned back or something, guessing next years Watford side wont be half as strong as it was this year.

Anyone out of Bolton, Forest, Leeds, Leicester, Birmingham and Blackburn.

The rest either have too many off the field issues like Brighton, Watford (can't loan back their whole team next year), Wigan (Martinez gone, Europa League, big players leaving), QPR (Redknapp + squad leaving).

Or they are just too weak to compete at the top of the league like Charlton, Bournemouth, Yeovil, Huddersfield, Barnsley, all not good enough.

The dark horses could be Ipswich, Derby and Middlesborough. Can see one or two of them coming into the promotion picture. Don't think we'll see as tight a league next year.

I imagine they'll just permanently transfer them to get around that.

I think Bournemouth might do better than expected. Also think Charlton may be up there. The season is going to be tough. Looking foreard to seeing our new squad.

I agree with all of that. I'd say Bolton and Blackburn will be up there. Could see Ipswich having a good season too......

Royal Rads Going on the current squads for my money Brighton, Forest, Bolton, Blackburn, Blackpool, Wigan, Leeds are gonna be the teams in and around us. Obviously though 1 or 2 massive signings from any club can change whole look of the teams in the table so right now all we can really do is sit back and laugh as all QPR's players abandon ship.

Why Leeds? They are the odd one out there for me. Their squad has about as much dross in it right now as QPRs :|

Because at championship level McDermott is a manager who has proved he can take a mediocre team and make them contenders, plus he's being given big backing from the owners as far as I know, don't get me wrong as it stands I don't see them getting promoted but I do see them challenging to get playoffs[/quote]

Hope McDermott gets rid of Michael Brown

Forest, Ipswich, Watford and Charlton will all be there and there abouts. Blackburn may struggle to stay up. QPR have a lot of baggage to ship. Leicester will gloriously fail (as usual). Wigan - see Birmingham when they went down. Brighton have management issues. Leeds - good manager, lousy squad. Boro fell away badly last year. Strange outside tip is Sheff Weds.

I actually think the Championship next year is the weakest it's looked for some time with the likes of Wolves and Cardiff being replaced by the Donnys and Wigans.

One think is for sure - Antonio and Lita will dick us for Sheff Wednesday.

What are the quality of players these teams are being linked to compared to those we are?

Not good in terms of promotion, but great in terms of excitement for next season. Always preferred the Champ to the Prem ...

Championship = the best league in the world in terms of action, competitiveness and all the other things fans want from a game

Next season is going to be the hardest we've ever had to fight yet, about 10 other realistic competitors plus about 5/6 dark horses.

The difference will be down to the ability of the management team to get a side together that can consistently pick up points...

Yawn. Every year the C'ship is the hardest ever. Hull finished second last season FFS. We'll piss the league.
