Yesterday Real Madrid re-signed Dani Carvajal from Bayer Leverkusen.

Interesting given Mourinho's lack of interest in promoting players from RM Castilla and feud with the manager that one of the youth players he sold comes back the day he left.

I love the way Real Madrid presidents promise anything to get re-elected

Below is a list of all the Premier League clubs’ net spending since Arsenal moved to the Emirates in 2006. Is this confirmation that Arsenal are still paying for the new stadium? We’re not quite sure what’s more shocking though; the sheer amount that Manchester City have spent in that time or the fact that Arsenal have pocketed £40m since 2006

Manchester City: £427m
Chelsea: £233m
Liverpool: £124m
Aston Villa: £92m
Manchester United: £88m
Sunderland: £88m
Stoke City: £80m
Queens Park Rangers: £72m
Tottenham Hotspur: £65m
West Ham United: £56m
Fulham: £26m
Southampton: £14m
West Bromwich Albion: £12m
Norwich City: £10m
Swansea City: £4m
Everton: £2m
Wigan Athletic: -£5m
Newcastle United: -£8m
Reading: -£8m
Arsenal: -£40m

Surprised we're only -8 million. Even with this year's 'spending', the sales of Long, Doyle, Hunt, Kitson, Gylfi, Sonko, Bikey, Shorey and Mills was knocking on the £30 million mark.

That really highlights how well Moyes did at Everton and how well Wenger has done at Arsenal. LOL @ (in particular) Villa, Sunderland, Stoke and QPR. All that net spend and nothing to show for it except a relegation in QPR's case. At least Stoke have brought the right manager in now to control spending.

TBM West Ham fail with £14.5m bid for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo

And thats ^^ why we were relegated when the ambition of the other clubs that came up with us is a lot higher....

I thought that offering £14.5M for Negredo was pretty insulting, tbh. Top scorer in Spain (outside of Messi and Ronaldo), playing for a bigger/better club than West Ham already, just sold their non-goal-scoring winger for £17M - why on earth would it have been accepted? Looks like they're just trying to get the Carroll move sped up...

Manchester City have agreed a £34 million fee with Shakhtar Donetsk for Fernandinho.

So who exactly does the buying at that club?!

Would be interesting to see how that money breaks down in terms of trophies won since 2006.

For instance
Chelsea, 9 trophies = 25.8m per trophy
Liverpool, 2 trophies = 62m per trophy

That would work if Liverpool had won no trophies from 2006 onwards
