didnt norwich sign 2 strikers recently? becchio in the January window and ricky van wolfswinkel in march. they might already be set for strikers considering they play 4-5-1? we could conceivably sign hooper still.

Except Becchio has been a misfit who will probably move on before next season starts or bench at best.

if norwich get hooper too i could see them being top 10 with holt, hooper, and v. wolfswinkel.

Except Hughton is in the habit of playing only one upfront so I would find a move for Hooper unlikely as they have bought Wolfcock.

Scored a cracker against England U21 in the 2009 UEFA U21 Championship. Always rated him. I reckon Toivonen could make the step up. He's 26 so now is as good of a time as ever.

They`ll probably pick him up for a good price, as well.

with him and that Van Wolfswinkel and a couple of others, Norwich could be challenging for at least a top half finish, probably Europe.

4 year deal including Year 1 'reasonable' release/break clause (should it go tits up)
"Guaranteed" (cough, cough) starting position
Nige's plans / Club's ambition to immediately bounce back (include Anton splashing more cash in that)
Norwich (et similar) potentially to be relegation fodder next season
Will (hopefully) score truckloads of shop window goals in the Chump
Pog-esque salary (assuming we manage to offload Pog)

For years I have looked at the football stuff on this site. The other stuff never interested me. I have half a dozen people who I followed purely on their football and Reading posts, a couple of people did seem to pick up the occasional tip during transfer seasons. The site was worth watching and eventually I decided to jump in. I do'nt thimk a decent contributor has said anything useful since my first post. Maybe the site has had its day and a proper, purely football, site should be set up.

Interesting that we've got rid of 5-7 players and are maybe recruiting the sane. I am really interested to see what our squad will be to, hopefully, power its wa y straight back to the Premiership.c

Interesting responses. I would be happy to see Hooper join us, but others on this site, unconnected in any way to me, see other players as better buys or more likely to give the fans a real lift. I agree with them. Let's be honest, if someone said 'Gylfi'?
