I wouldn't trust that we'll get even one signing in this week!

Probably more chance of that than the Icelandic lad from Spurs.

Interesting...when I first saw the post he said the initials were GH. Now I come back to the thread and it is GS.

I thought for sure it meant we had got Glenn Hoddle.

Wasn't it Anton himself who said he expected two signings last week. People have been putting two and two together when it was rumoured Drenthe's was flying in for a medical today and have come up with five or any other number but four.

JimmytheJim
2 world wars, 1 world cup
JimmytheJim Nobody's going to believe me but I just spoke with Royston drenthe 's dad outside the madejski hotel. He confirmed that his son is signing for Reading.

I am extremely excited.
His dad was smoking a cigar and looked about 30.

I can just picture this conversation now...

Jim: Hi there I see you're black.
Man: Erm, yeah.
Jim: So is Drenthe.
Man: Who?
Jim: Royston Drenthe, the guy we're signing.
Man: Oh.
Jim: Seeing as you're black too, and he's probably here, I guess you're a relative. Are you related to him?
Man: Yeah right I must be related. Actually tell you what I'm his dad. Happy?
Jim: Wow! Let me tell HNA!!!

That's a pretty accurate transcript. Were you there at the time? You must have been that fat bloke who kept waving his willy around mumbling something about 'mcdonut' and 'the bloody country's gone to pot' and so on.

I wasn't waving it around as such I was just airing it.
