Whoever does the twitter probably does it from home as they were tweeting about the Reggae Boyz the other morning at 3am.

I watched that game, sent them a message telling them they needed sleep and they just sent me a ":)". Basically the person (or people) who run it get paid nothing and have been turned into mindless robots. Occassionaly you see them show 'human' traits, such as the smiley face, or IIRC replying to a Leeds or West Ham fan.

RFC before have done business for several players and then announced the results at a press conference. The players may have agreed terms over several days (and we all know that rumours leak out). To me, there is definately the clue that Anton spoke of two signings and it may be that the club want to make him right. If Drenthe has signed, I'm guessing that another signing is close and an official statement will then be made on both of them. Seems logical so it's probably Pants.

In all honesty they're probably wrapping up the other signing and not announcing Drenthe purely because of his previous attitude and record. Would make sense with all the "sign the right players, mentality" bullshit.

If there is indeed a press conference at 11am tomorrow, i full expect RFC to confirm that prior to tomorrow. As they did when they had a press conference to announce Adkins.

Zingarevich loves a presser, FACT. He had one when he came in, for Adkins but more significantly called one for the signing of Jason Roberts before deciding to only do photos in the press room and full interviews pitch side

i got owned by one of them once, as they were gloating about a sell out against arsenal, i bit and claimed that it would be unlikely due to lazy ST holders not bothering to show..... it was away (i knew this but i continued to make myself look the arse)

The RFC twitter will almost retweet anything remotely positive about the club. However when the boo boys come on and pick a scapegoat, ala Leigertwood last year, they go out of their way to defend him by "spontaneously" showing his stats from a game.

No harm in them trying to maintain a "perfect club" reputation though I guess.

Funny that, appreciating positive comments and helping protect staff from abuse.

2 world wars, 1 world cup Drenthe's agent spills the beans so Palace or another Prem side come in for him.

Drenthe has a medical where he happens to be wearing a Reading top, big deal.

Reading fans get all excited at Tommy Smith II

Reading fans think a fake instagram is proof that he's signed even though club stays quiet.

Still no deal concluded.

Drenthe signs for Prem club this week.

We sign a 300k player from a league 1 side

I don't actually believe any of this

The difference between Drenthe and Smith, is it's Drenthe and his agent doing all the talking about coming to Reading, and it's only be in the media for a week. With Smith it was Rodgers shooting his mouth off in the press about signing him for about two months, with no comment from Smith.

Would you rather they retweeted everyone sending Leigertwood death threats?

The deal is done, just waiting for him to shed 5 stone so he looks like a footballer before telling the press.
He even makes Caskey look anorexic. He will be a big player.
