I wouldn't normally comment on spellings etc, but I've seen this mistake from people too many times to be an accident so (with, I accept, 'pedantic knob hat on') the apostrophe lesson:

The apostrophe is in place of the missing "o" from not.

Therefore, don't; didn't; won't; wouldn't; shan't; shouldn't; can't etc.

I will limit it to that and not get into possessive 's' or anything else or other times we've (<<<) used apostrophes.

I will now pop my tedious w@nker hat back in it's box.
