Judge Drenthe 30k a week is too much for Celtic, so this will never happen.

They are already paying Hooper 40K

Pog will also get Champions League football so the whole of Europe can watch him fall on his arse against some non entity from Cyprus

I can see sense in us swapping The Pog for Hooper, I can also see Celtic going for it except for wages. Celtic want at least 5M but, the problem is they'll replace him with someone on 20k a week. Hooper must like Adkins so that is no problem. This probably shows our stupidity in giving The Pog the deal we did. Our failures last season were not simply to do with who we didn't buy, they were also to do with who we did and on what wages. If only QPR would buy The Pog we could raise our offer and the team for the next season (as our current strategy suggests) might be unbeatable.

He's our main striker and he scored less goals than a sub last season. Dream on. It's not his reputation , it's what he actually does. I'd love him to stay in our forward line on 15k a week.

£25k according to their forum. Their limit thought to be £30k.

I think Pog is a good player but have his performances really justified his position as one of our higher (highest?) earners? I admit to feeling sorry for him for long stretches of last season as he battled up front alone as the ball was lumped up to him. I was still disappointed with quite a few performances. However, I think he would shine with more support from midfield which we will see next season, so I hope he stays if he is up for the Championship.

I don't think we should judge players based on value for money, and based on quality Pog is probably our best striker with Roberts seemingly on the fringe.

The Pog is not on £60K per week. The deal is £30K and Hooper is not on £40K per week @ Celtic. He may well be looking for that sum but RFC will not pay anyone £40K per week in the CShip. Average wage in CShip is about £12K for an established player. Obviously there will be some players on higher sums and no doubt there are a few nutter teams I can think of who may pay more for so called star players but RFC is not one of them. Real Factssssssssss

He just needs to play in a 4-4-2 and get the service. He's a top finisher, and will be a real handful at this level. But I can't see him sticking around.

IN for the Pog love. McD never gave him the chance because of lumping the ball up top. He needs it to his feet and then he'll be like the Goat when he was fed

If the Pog decides to stay for another season that would be a great result.
I would love to see what he could do with decent service (which he didn't get last season). In my opinion he did a good job wearing down defenders for fresh subs to come on and get the benefit.
