For those pointing out that he 'failed' at Real Madrid, 46 games isn't exactly failure. Robben only played 50 games for them, Sneijder 52 and Van Der Vaart 58. Sahin only played 4 times for them and I'd kill my entire family to sign him.

Ok then lets turn this around.
Alan (the black guy) is taking a telephone call in his office, the bloke on the other end is setting up a visit with alan.
Bloke: "when I arrive at your office alan, how will I know who you are?"
Alan: you can't miss me mate, I am the black guy sat at the far end of the office"

It seems that only white folk over react to these things, the black folks that I work with do not honestly give a toss

I get what you're saying, everyone is different I guess and while one may find it offensive, another may not

No black people are offended by the descriptive term black.

"Negro" on the other hand is a term of abuse in some countries, i.e. it is NOT used as a descriptive term meaning "black" but a derogatory word with reference to slavery.

It is appreciated in Spain/Portugal that the term "Negro" in reference to a person can cause offence, especially if the person is not familiar with Spanish.

It is also appreciated by anyone with an IQ of treble figures that referring to someone's colour within an insult is racist, whatever language you choose to do it in.
