Why the f*ck do the morons at RFC always delay releasing the new kit design and then look like idiots when it is released elsewhere?! Fire them Anton!

In future lets get the kit design released earlier and the shirts out on sale during the summer when people are suffering from football withdrawal symptoms and would happily buy them in time for their holidays!

Why on earth would anyone care? New kit announcements* are even more shrug-worthy than the fixture list coming out

*unless they paint it on topless birds I guess**
**or if you're a little kid

Indeed, I don't get it at all; my 14yo gets mildly excited anticipating the new kit - but tbh I'd be a bit embarrassed if he kept that up for any more than a couple of years.

It's odd behaviour for adults.

I knew theyd have a gay bit of red in the collar. Really don't like red lines either.

Reminds me of a QPR shirt from the 80s. Red should not be on our home kit.

I guess they do it to help flog as much as the old stock as possible.

By the way, is it now the new standard in football to replace both kits every season? I'm sure most clubs only change one.

So they stick panels on the sides to give us less hoopage on the front, and then no hoops on the back? What a mess.
It really isn't hard to make a decent looking Blue & White hooped kit, what a bunch of tossers.

That shirt was utterly hideous and excreble

This new one is an improvement on last years, not quite as good as the season before but better then anything between then and 2005/2006.

Only question marks for me are whether the red puma really works, think it would be better in a different colour myself (or preferably not there at all :D ), and the poorly designed collar.

Oh and the "leak" of the design through the FL website will hopefully prompt RFC to not be so secretive about designs and keeping us all in the dark for so long in future (not holding my breath on that one).

Well if they couldn't shift that old stock at a tenner then I doubt holding off on releasing the design of the new kit would make any difference.

And I think it is precisely because everyone knows there is a new kit (home and away) coming out every season that they can't shift the old stock towards the end of any season!

Its about time Reading altered their supply chain. Its not a hard thing to read when demand will be at a peak.

Maybe they were working with the McDermott Model - really slow start with disappointing results, but things improving dramatically in the latter part of the season, leading to very high demand in the last couple of weeks!

If the hoops don't go all the way round this year then the kit designer and persons who rubber stamped it at RFC should be round up and shot.

Judge Drenthe Last seasons was a terrible shirt. The worst for 20 years at least, for me. When tucked in we have one overly sized blue hoop. The new one is a wet dream in comparison.

The red away shirt with a collar would be class.

Yep a proper collar instead of these crappy pseudo collars that make you look like you've got a vest or other shirt on underneath when all it is is a bit of cheap fabrics sown to the inside of the top. Bet it looks really cheap, just like they do on clothes in high street shops.

AthleticoSpizz arguably bars not hoops

IMO bars don't go all the way round. Those are Hoops. There just aren't enough of them.

RFC confirmed they've brought the kit unveiling forward to early July now. Great response, Reading. There's nothing like being organised is there?
