Stuka
Judge Drenthe
JimmytheJim Yet another awful kit.

Next year we need a campaign spearheaded by a designer who isn't a oxf*rd moron.

Send him constructive feedback then, his twitter handle is a few pages back! He can at least make a note for next season, and he is by all accounts a very decent lad!

People can send constructive feedback, or a torrent of abuse to @SuperGazDesign

And for those who don't use twitter?

And anyway, I've posted my comments on their FB picture. Slagging it off, of course.

Cobi Quit fcuking moaning, you bunch of bitches!!

Great from the front, naff from the back, so was the kit when we last won the league.

Half of you grumpy bastards wont be buying it anyway, and you wont even be able to see the red from your seat either!

The front is the worst, sponsor is far too high up

I don't understand their logic. The sponsor is the perfect hight on the away shirt, but they decided to bump it up a few inches on the home shirt :|

It just goes to show how hands-off the club are with the shirt designs. They approve a template, then a final design, and then they try and fit the sponsor around the design. What the club should have done is have a little more input and collaborate with the designer and say "this is where we'd like this to be, and that to be, and you make the hoops fit and size accordingly.

What we've ended up with is an after thought with the sponsor being squeezed in as best we can. The 'Waitrose' even overlaps into the blue hoop above it. It's a nice design, but shoddy in that neither party appears to have communicated much in the design process. All they needed to do was lose one hoop and the spacing would have been fine.

Some people just don't get design.

The badge overlaps the hoops, so it's obviously the right thing to do to have the Waitrose logo overlapping as well.

Well, either that or someone has only recently reminded them there's a rather tight contract somewhere stipulating that "Waitrose" must be in letters of a certain height...

I am definitely not into design but by your logic shouldn't the Waitrose logo be slightly overlapping the blue hoop below it as well as the blue hoop above, as the badge does?

Or maybe the kit design/template was signed-off long before the PL-level sponsor, with handy overlapable logo, pulled out.

I understand perfectly that but it still looks shite and like no-ones given any thought to it.

It would work better if the Waitrose branding itself wasn't so crap, given that the branding is what it is I would not have gone for this approach.

The other issue is that the badge and puma logo are set too high and make you look like you're wearing a shirts that's two sizes too small.

An improvement on last year just.

Away kit is by far superior in design - again

By the way I like the F1 logo on the back, personally why not swap that for the Waitrose logo :D

Compared to the Toy's R Us design disaster last year this year's Home kit is back to where it should be. Bit retro , bit modern and thankfully more hoops than blocks of blue.

A promotion winning strip if ever I saw one.

In what way? It's an absolute disaster. Last year's effort was so much better in that it had actual hoops.

I really do hope you are joking. Retro? WTF? It's got no hoops.

I can't help but notice the keeper's shirt has an Estonian flag motif on the collar. I for one am against this creeping Baltic influence on the club I know and love.

I think both the kits are pretty crap tbh. The goalie shirt is nice though. I suppose the away kit isnt too bad, looks alot like the one from 2010/11 season. I wont be buying either of them anyway but no matter, I'll buy next seasons Premier League shirts 8)

St. Brynjar The shorts appear to be a different colour to the shirt.

I noticed this as well.

Also, the home kit has a plain white back but the away kit still has the red lines. Surely they could have hoops on the home kit if a plain back evidently isn't a requirement?

The plain back has nothing to do with numbers. As has been pointed out 10000's of times, QPR has a hooped back. It's purely some mong's idea of a design feature.

Suspect it's just different lighting used for both pictures. HTH

They did it to Cardiff as well, only their's is really obvious and looks awful. Ours will hardly be noticed from where you sit.
