teignmouth hoops Strangely enough i do realise there are shed loads of strikers around, but not proven goalscorers, otherwise we will end with another useless russian a la Pog

He's not useless his strike rate was actually pretty good. Doesn't help when your midfield insist on hoofing it to you and expecting you to take on the two premier league centre backs by yourself.

New playing style and defenders of lesser quality he will tear them a new one

Roberts and Pogrebnyak are both surprisingly bad at winning headers. Roberts can't even get off the ground, Pogrebnyak can manage at least three inches on elevation.

It's moot anyway, can't see Roberts getting fit enough to hold down a first team place this season whatever happens.

He's still running on one those anti-gravity machines, which just tells you where he is at.

Could you (or someone) explain what that means? I have never heard of an anti-gravity machine, except maybe in Austin Powers or something

Basically here half his weight is being supported by the running machine so he's effectively running at 50% body weight.

I could do with one of those, my knees are certainly telling me there is too much weight above them....

Cheers Zac!!!

I would say from that, that the very fact he is running at all would be positive. Will be interesting how things develop over the next few weeks.

It was a good ball but he won the header by making the space with his movement.
