So it was a loan then? If so, presumably it should have been declared as such? If not then I'm sure a points deduction will be along shortly for a breach of player registration rules? Although it will probably lead to that bald bloke of football league show standing outside Loftus Road on the last day of the season desperately trying to make friends by telling the QPR fans they've got away with it after all and won't have a points deduction so will finish the seaspn safely in 18th place and not have to sack their third manager of the season*

Probably a stupid question but how come Barton isn't banned? After his last game in the UK he was banned for 10 games IIRC, does this only aopply in The Premier League or has he 'served' it whilst playing in France?
