Alexander Litvinenko
Who Moved The Goalposts?
Simon's Church Suarez to Chelsea for 40m euros according to AS

A match made in heaven. Both player and club throughly unlikable.

Let's hope he's not biting off more than he can chew.

Why would it be in euros, bullshit

Damn, that's a good signing.

Some very odd signings from Wigan, seem to be going in completely the opposite direction to that which they were going with Martinez in the transfer market

I wonder if that would have been in addition to Higuain joining or instead of.

I really don't understand Arsenal. Last season, sell Van Persie £24 mil
This season try and buy Suarez for £30 mil.

Suarez 6mil better than Van Persie? I know who I'd rather have.

Less controversial. About the same on games missed (injury or suspension wise). No brainer for me.

I think this is Arsenal just trying to keep fans happy, and bluffing at £30 mil for a player they think Liverpool might sell, but certainly not to a clear rival. They'll bid for Bale next.

Rumour is that the bid was just a PR stunt by Arsenal. They knew Liverpool would never accept, but it shows the fans they are serious about big names. Also, gives a bit of a nudge to Gonzalo to hurry up and sign on the dotted line.

RVP was 29 when they sold him - Suarez is 26. He only finished 3 goals behind Van Persie last season and that was with an 10 game ban (4 missed)

And if you wanna go all Snowball then he got 23 in 33 league games
RVP got 26 in 38

Plus Van Persie didn't want to stay

Arsenal fans in tears asking why Wenger didn't get him. Also threatening a boycott of games if he gets a new deal. It's amazing how you can take an annual top four finish on a relatively small annual budget for granted. I hope that clubs drops away once he leaves. They don't deserve him!

Brazilian newspaper Agencia (reported as being quite reliable) have put on their twitter feed that Pepe has agreed personal terms with Man City though City & Real Madrid are still negotiating the transfer fee.
