Barry the bird boggler Championship = the best league in the world in terms of action, competitiveness and all the other things fans want from a game

Next season is going to be the hardest we've ever had to fight yet, about 10 other realistic competitors plus about 5/6 dark horses.
The difference will be down to the ability of the management team to get a side together that can consistently pick up points...

Couldn't disagree more, pretty much the entire division last year was garbage, the three promoted sides won't be in the top 10, and the two other relegated sides are both a bit of a mess at the moment. I fully expect us to win it.

I predicted Wigan's team disintegrating when Martinez left, but they've kept their quality midfield players, brought in a good keeper (Carson) and have a decent striker in Holt, who could be in with a shout for league top scorer by the end of the season.

Based one Snowball's stats he's nailed on to score at least 1353445 goals next season.

Playing in Europe will make it very tough for them though...

Admittedly the start of the season is going to be tough for them with the Charity Shield and the Europa play-offs but will they really survive much further than that?

Pepe the Horseman We'll piss the league.

Does that mean we will win and piss all over everyone...

Or does that mean we will piss it up the wall, and screw it up, finishing about 15th?

If the season started now AND all of the players were really up for it AND we had got a real squad ethos, we would be likely to aspire to the top six. If the Ownership and Management would only put actions to their words and two or three quality players came in - Promotion ought to be guaranteed.

I feel the same. I think Wigan could be tasty, but so much cause for optimism. I would caveat this with the fact I thought Bolton would win it last year and they came 7th-ish..

They're already straight into the group stages are they not?

If they are then my bad, thought they only get through to Qualification.

Yeah just checked;

Wigan straight into the groups.

Spurs into the play-off round.

Swansea into the third qualifying round.

As I said before last season ended.
Royal Rother The improvement Adkins has brought about in a short space of time, and his past record, suggest to me that if Newcastle don't come down with us we are likely to win the league at a canter next season.

107.

11/1...? That's ridiculous. Free money.

Make that 108.
