Ian RoyalLoyalRoyal22 So we are going to let him go before we give him some games to prove himself. We will regret it when he shows his class in La Liga.
There's a reason he didn't get the games. Why is it people seem to think all players should get 5-10 matches before a manager can decide if they're good enough, or more importantly, fit enough?

Barry the bird boggler Don't think he was fit enough when he arrived and also think he found the change too much esp. as he wasn't fit enough to play. I mean Portugal in winter is still a long way ahead of the miserable weather in this country at that time of year (and for the most of the year come to that).
He may well be able to adapt given time but we don't have time to wait about so let him move if he wants.

He was obviously fit enough to pass a medical.

SpaghettiHoop Director of Football Nick Hammond has given an update on midfielder Daniel Carrico, who has been the subject of interest from other clubs.
Carrico arrived in January and made three appearances in the Barclays Premier League.
Nick said, “I feel for him, he came in January and following both his contractual situation and an injury he wasn't up to speed at first. But he's been a great professional, he works hard and he's a good player.
“There is some interest but we'll see how it progresses, there are no done deals. It's been tough for him, he's become frustrated with the situation but I want to re-iterate he's a good man, works every day and the level of club interested tells you what a good player he is.
“Is there a done deal? No. Is there likely to be? Possibly.”

peterroyal76 Or cut price due to his falling out with Sporting.
He must of been fit enough to pass his medical (we've pulled the plug on others due to medicals), all he needed was match fitness and there was only one way he was going to get that.

We quite obviously called it wrong on the medical and his issues were more serious than we thought. It was totally obvious he wasn't fit enough whenever he played.
