TommyFZ175 Does anyone else think the medical at hull was more about his rumoured "off field problems"than his knee?
No
They wouldn't have bothered with him at all if that was a problem

jellytot He has to be fit to start the season. Kebe seems unlikely to be availble for a while and Roberts
Mote so. The last thing we need is for him to be unavailable for a while. I.personally hope Sharp or Hopper arrive but it looks like Hooper is off to harryland.

soggy biscuit I think my view of what 'failed a medical' means (a stupid phrase) is somewhat different to many others on here.
That is all really

soggy biscuit Heard someone explain once that it is almost always really a case of failing the valuation rather than failing the medical as such.
Selling club want £10M and no lower, prospective buying club get them in and doctors say with their history of extended recovery time from injuries they can expect player x to miss a certain amount of games a season. Prospective buying club go back to selling club and explain that they will only offer £7M due to this and that they will need to be sure they have a decent reserve player to make so many appearances to cover them. Selling club say no. deal off.

Lacoste And we released him in favour of Church

FridaysGhost If you look at Austin's appearances and age, injury does not seem to be an issue. He's just been an almost play-every-game player for Burnley and his scoring record speaks for itself. Is it possible that any potential unfitness seen by physios is an Asa Hartford situation or perhaps a weakness in a shoulder or something that may be operable or may never cause a problem? Should we get him, at a bargain price, he might be a good risk. Particularly as he grew up with us.

Avon Royal It's almost as if they think that a successful team needs to be able to score goals.

Cheers Soggy!!! Honestly did not know that. But given you do a survey on a house you want to buy for much less cost than this (well mine anyway ) it should not be surprising that clubs do a similar thing.
