Has anyone told Akpan and Karacan they're in a midfield partnership? They appear to be operating completely separately. Akpan looks alright driving forward and likes a good through ball. Karacan is pissing about in the back 4 doing nothing too much. McAnuff looks lively. Taylor doing well for himself. Drenthe not quite in the zone. ALF not getting fed.

Agree. But it's leaving a gaping hole in the middle of the pitch and both CMs isolated. Terrible idea IMO. We want to mix in wing play with through the middle. Not stay utterly reliant on wing play.
