A Reading XI are currently playing (and drawing 1-1) Newport County in a testimonial match for one of their former players. Shame the price of a ticket was £10 otherwise I would have gone along to see them play as I only live 20 minutes away for the ground.

Reading XI: Henly, Long, Griffin, Tshibola, Hector, Cooper, Tanner, D'ath, Ugwu, Taylor, Neita

Never heard of Neita before? :?

Youngsters beating L2 Newport County 3-2 with three minutes left. Sounds like they've given us a game tonight but the young'uns continue to shine.

3-3. Buggers got lucky with a long throw in the final minute.

No, I think the youngsters did very well.

I find it slightly amusing that scoring a goal from a long throw is considered "lucky" by the usual suspects.

I'd like to see Tshibola get a decent 6month loan this season, see if he can get stronger on the ball and speed up his play. Maybe somewhere like Torquay or Exeter.

Good to see NA was at the game. It sounded like D'Ath had a decent game as well.

By the usual suspects? Seriously, coming from someone that moans 99% of the time and finds a negative in pretty much everything.. Even the chap commentating said it was a fortunate goal. Perhaps you too could put a little more effort into taking in the youngsters games; you know, so when you comment your comments are valid and appreciated.

in your place, sandman!

now if you girls are done.... that's a satisfying result for the u21's. D'Ath did alright and Ugwu scored in front of the manager who has been taking a close look at him this summer. it's been a strong pre-season for the club so far.

I try to go to all their games that are available for the public to watch, you utter clown. Last season I saw all but one of the under 21's matches and I saw the u18's play in the Youth Cup and watched their game against Man United.

As for moaning you set the record for that last season where you came across as a typical spoilt PL glory boy talking shit about a decent man who did a great job for this club. You have continued to ridicule that man even after he has taken up a new job so don't talk to me about moaning.

Anyway, back to the youth teams, it is a trend where they are conceding simple goals like this so the notion of it being merely as a result of luck is ridiculous. They, like you, need to learn that you can't always just play pretty passing in your own half for 30 minutes and that teams aren't always going to play the game you want them to. It's a harsh lesson but unlike you SPARTA they will hopefully take note.

And Judge Dreadful have you worked out NFA's post from the other day or are you still struggling?

Postive to see the kiddies put in a good show and be a little unlucky not to see out a win against (what I assume was) a full professional side. Often you can get supposedly great youth teams that are still like boys against men when playing even a conference level side. So I'd say this is pretty impressive.
