GreaterTorontoRoyal Darren O'Dea released by Toronto FC after a long spell of mediocre performances and needing to clear room for the salary cap.

Signed on a free for Metallurg Donetsk, if anyone is still interested in him.

The Star also reported his annual wage was $456,250 or about $8775 a week. We have Koevermans on about $1.67m a year.

How does that work then m8? Surely a bid meating a release clause can't be rejected.

I've read that it isn't as such a release clause and more of a 'bid more than £40m and we will be forced to consider the bid and inform the player of your bid' clause.

Betting suspended on Higuain to Napoli. I can see a lot of pissed off Arsenal fans at the end of this transfer window.

They're a bunch of bugs for believing their club is suddenly prepared to spend £30m plus on a player. It's all talk because they get slated for being tight fisted every year. £40m for Suarez? Have a day off will ya!! It's be £12m for a French or African unknown, and £7m on some young English kid or summit.

The player has to be told about the bid if it's over £40m. However, Suarez is still under contract, Liverpool don't think £40m is enough, so have rejected the bid. They want nearer £54m as they see Suarez just as good as Cavani.

Surely that is pointless as if Suarez just picked up a newspaper last week he would have read that Arsenal bid £30m for him :|
