yep, I almost never failed to get a ticket in the the section of the East Stand when I wanted to go in the championship. Book online a couple of days before the match so you don't have to pay the extra they charge on the day.

You do need to miss 8 games to start saving money that way though. £575 for 23 games for members, or £395 for 23 games for STHs.

I'd have thought it was obvious.
14 x £25 match tickets = £350. Season ticket = £395 / £375 renewal (iirc). Buying individual match tickets going to 14 home games means you save money over a season ticket.

what if you go to 14 then we are top!!!

Also Ian getting individual tickets is easy, it is groups that find it harder. Except in the exciting South stand.

I've never had problems when booking for me, my nephew and his dad. I have no idea what you're blithering on about with the top bit.

The south stand's not all bad. It's quite interesting hearing the day trippers talk about Johnny Kebe or how we bought Morrison from Huddersfield. Plus you get way more exercise with all that standing up and sitting down to let bored kids out to get another hot chocolate.

He's thinking you'd go to the first 14 games, and then wonders what happens if after those 14 we are top and you want to watch the rest of the season - i.e. you won't save any money - but clearly, you are talking about saving money if you can ONLY attend up to 14 games a season. Listening to the rest on the radio is free, of course!

Not if you live outside Berkshire it isn't.

In Y21 for the 11th year and quite happy about it tbh. Will be re-joined by my other uncle this year after he has taken a few years away from having a season ticket. Which is pleasing.

Last season I stood at the back of Y26 where there is no seats, just on the concrete, a couple of times last year with no bother from the stewards, in fact I had a couple of friendly conversations while stood there. Hoping this will be okay this coming season?

The stewards do seem now to leave the standee's alone, can't see why that would suddenly change from last season.

Lovely, although it was only a friendly it was nice to see them being soft on standers again against Swansea, ended up being just me and a few mates stood with people sat behind us (except the back row or two) for a while and we still got no bother.

The stewards are a lot better now. It helps that people try to get on with them and not treat them like the enemy. At the end of the day they have to meet fans in the middle, as the fans will get their way ultimately - unless the club takes ST's off the offenders, but they wont want to lose fans for the sake of enjoying your day more by standing while adding to the atmosphere.

The stewards basically gave up last season because they were fully aware that most weeks we had a full away allocation, many of which would be fully standing. Even our stewards would feel embarassed to sit down a block of spectators whilst being roundly ignored several feet away in another block.

I fully expect them to be back fussing around Y25/26 on Saturday, or certainly when there are 300 away fans they can boss around more easily

Selective memory. They were also a lot better with us for the last half of the promotion season when crowds fluctuated from 18,500-22,000 upwards!

That sounds about right as Reading side of the the South stand was empty. So season ticket holders + away fans + hospitality + 1000 odd single ticket holders = attendance.
