FridaysGhost To the last two comments. Are you really a complete Moron? Do you write rubbish intentionally whilst somehow thinking there is some sense in your head? Does Adkins have a better playing C.V. than Poyet, if not, shut up and for god's sake stop showing your immense ignorance. Every post you make says 'this man is a d*ck!'.

Comment 2. Proof that you should not be a Moderator or Contributor or Subscriber or even a twat, some twats have redeeming features, I guess you just aspire to be one of them. .

Answer the question

Does Poyet's or Adkins' playing career have any relevance to how good a manager they are likeley to be?

If not, shut up and for god's sake stop showing your immense ignorance. Every post you make says 'this man is a d*ck!'

You really haven't got this petard hoisting deal sussed at all have you?

Please explain why the relative playing careers of the two managers are in any way relevant? Unless they are going to pull on a shirt on Saturday, it matters not how good they were in their day. Once playing days are over, management and coaching are very different skills. Many great managers were second rate players, many of the best players make poor managers.
It is a well-studied and documented phenomenon, often explained as the ultra skilled being unable to grasp that those with lower skill levels cannot do what they do instinctively, whereas a player who always had to strive and work hard to achieve mediocrity learns many skills that are invaluable to players no matter what their natural ability.

Wycombe Royal It worked out for the best as I wouldn't want Poyet managing us. It's all about him, he loves being in the media spotlight and things he is bigger than the club. His ego needs deflating.

This pretty much, starting to get a bit sick of hearing Poyet talking about his situation at Brighton, it surely can't help his case.

Not going into detail, but from what I've been told he would have been difficult to work with. We had a lucky escape imo.

Seems they have a fairly open and balanced perspective actually.

They don't seem rattled. A lot of them even said our 'project is better' in terms of where we are compared to them: 'a few years further ahead' than Brighton.

Platypuss Wow, not getting up from that one. :|

Why don't you give up the act now anyway and get a new schtick - this one's busted and you're really not fooling anyone.

TBF, we always knew he was a total bellend. Now we just know which total bellend he is.

They really do think they are a massive club, it's laughable.!! Look at glorious 30000 seater stadium. I just hope we can up ours to 38000 before they hit the PL

Why does it matter what Brighton are or aren't doing in relation to us?

To be fair the majority of them were very reasonable with their comments. Even one of the cheekier ones made the fair point that there are an incredible amount of glory hunters walking around Reading with Chelsea/Arsenal/Man U shirts on. However, his downfall is that Brighton is worse. It's even rarer to see people in Brighton centre with Seagulls clobber on, and neigh on impossible to hold a conversation regarding them with the majority of people in the pubs around their city.

I guess it's clear in either case that neither RFC or BHAFC are what put their respective locations on the map, and I doubt that is about to change any time soon, if ever, and I for one don't mind a bit. Let the plastic Man U 'fans' support their team through the TV and have to put up with us outsinging three times as many of them minutes before their 'team' are about to win the title.... but even worse they go on to lose it to City at the death to mass derision from all else present. Priceless satisfaction that one can only gain from supporting one's 'little' local club
