I personally hope that all 11 players get injured and we lose 10-0 in front of as few people as possible, in order to utter a hearty LOL @ the sell out suits running the club I am rapidly falling out of love with.

Oh dear lord, we're playing a friendly against a team based in a region where we're trying to gain a decent market foothold, in a fixture that will at the very least keep us fairly sharp and should give some of the young guys a decent experience while also giving the fans a home game to go to during a 29 day period where there aren't any competitive fixtures.

FOLD THE CLUB!!!!!!!!!111!!!1!

^ This.

Anyone saying otherwise is either on the wind up or pretty oblivious to the changing face of football.

(Or just fancies something other than our lack of new striker to moan about)

I'm confused, are we folding the club or not?

Ouroboros Not surprising. There's an effort in Oman to have them inducted into the Championship next year. They think playing in Asia is holding them back. Apparently the Football League are receptive to the idea because there's a big untapped tv market there.

I think we should be pretty ashamed to be involved in dodgy shenanigans like this, to be honest. It would never have happened under Madejski, but you sell the club and this is what you get.

Cracking away day though... hear they have a nice selection of ales in the برادفورد أسلحة

How's the Le Fondre to West Brom deal coming along? Judging by your nonsense and negative posts, the fan-base is better off for your not renewing your season ticket.

Not sure anyone is moaning about the concept of the match.

I think the moan is more about how a pretty ordinary and drab friendly is being hyped-up as the most attractive, must-see game of football ever.

But I suppose that's just the face of football these days - 10% sport, 90% hype and marketing.

no where does it say, or even imply that.
it simply bigs up the fact we are playing a national side, saying it could be a good game to watch, and inviting us to do so.

"Reading Fc will play international minnows Oman at the madejski stadium, in what promises to be a drab and dull affair with few first team players present, obviously if youve anything better to do, dont bother, cos it will be a waste of your and everyone elses time, but if you are at a loose end, pop along, but dont blame us if its shit

CALL THE BOX OFFICE!"

If you want to be bigoted then at least get the terminology right.

You telling me you're happy with muslamics here in Reading? You can guarantee they won't be bringing their ray guns to attack us? I just want Britain to be about British.
