What is your home match-day routine

If it's a Saturday 3pm game, I usually leave Bracknell around 10am and get into town by train early.

I like to have something to eat in Wetherspoons and have a pint in there. If there's an early game on sky I usually watch in Walkabout and then get bus up to the ground.

After match it depends, I will usually head home as town is a bit depressing after a Saturday game (or maybe at anytime?). I'd like to go somewhere else but there's no other real sport pubs in town that are suitable.

Going to start getting a bus to/from Basingstoke Road now to try to avoid the stupid queues they have.

Soon: hoping to change my hours to an earlier time and head into Reading before and after games

With my kids, train to Reading, Nando' s, bus to the stadium, a couple of pints in the hotel. Find our seats inside Mad stad way before kick off. Straight home after the game.

It's a good day out. I'm usually home around 10pm, it may sound a lot but over the course of the day it's a steady pace. Same routine for years now, with exception of a girl I used to see in Rembrandt way, Coley park and we went straight to The Roundhead and back on the train next day. Good times.

Reading lacks a lot of things, but a decent sports bar is one of them. Not a dingy squalid hole like the walkabout.

I'm considering starting in the Molly Millar in Wokingham this weekend. Get there for around 11ish, into town for 2 and straight to ground.

Not sure where to go after, as I want to watch Man United game but don't want to stay at the ground.

Aim to get to hotel or jazz by 12.30 or so. Few pints.
After game, into Reading for a beer or two.

Basically, plan to be near ground before having a beer rather than drinking and then heading to ground.

Quite enjoy the hotel (except the queues) and the Jazz, but in agreement with other folk that a 'sports bar' of some form near-ish the Madstad would be superb.

Old days: drink in Tilehurst, then ponce a lift from someone to drop us near Elm Park...or the Victory...for those that remember that pub !!

Get to Bournemouth station around 11.30. Hide from the grizzly old racist who thinks I want to hear his views on immigration because we support the same team.

Don the shirt as the train leaves Basingstoke. Arrive in Reading around 1. Coffee from Starbucks by the cinema. Get bus.

Programme from the bloke on the approach (moved to a plastic booth this year). Beer in the south stand, watch the end of the early kick off.

Cigarette at half time.

Stay to the end, sausage roll from the station. Bump into the racist. Read my programme on the train as I oddly enjoy the dramatic irony whilst reading the pre match notes.

Nags Head on Russell Street for 11am, get a bus ticket to the ground from behind the bar & a full English breakfast before it gets rammed. Start at the second tap from the right (not a fan of mild) and work left, getting progressively stronger until reaching the stout tap. Take in the sport on either of the two sky screens, or throw some wobbly darts, or sample the outdoor cider bar in the marquee. Have a píss or 5. Get the Nags Head private bus to the ground. Hang round the Bar/Ladbrokes counter in the concourse until 'back the boys' dick has finished embarrassing himself... Take my seat (not literally) to watch the Biscuitmen stroll to victory...

About 1 o'clock - play FIFA 13 with the daughter, both on the Reading side - exactly as the game would be. ie this week Reading home v Twatford away. The result will be the score to bet on at Ladbrokes.(except we had Reading 0 Ipswich 6). 1:30 check - Season Tickets, glasses, money - shout at the daughter to get her arse in gear and away we go. Same CD in the car stereo. Urzzzzzzzzz.

Eat Macdonalds at Sainsburys (Calcot).

Park at the old dog track between 1 and 1.30.

Walk to the club shop and buy a couple of match day programmes on the way.

Normally look at the remembrance wall and contemplate getting my old man's name put on a brick.

Sit down by 2.30.
