What is the situation at Birmingham currently, I thought they were utterly brassic and on the verge of administration...

Well, I believe they were "in limbo" given Carson Yeung's situation (his trial for laundering HK$720/£60m was delayed for a few months is due to take place in September).

But this sort of joke wage could well tip them over the edge.

Was talking to a B'ham STH today and he was saying that for every fan you can find who hates Zigic for being an injury prone, overpaid mercenary they can't use and can't shift, you'll find five who worship the ground he walks on because he won them a cup.

Any reason as to why? Some sort of protest?

They'll get more, its cos Portsmouth wouldn't let Morecambe sell the tickets and are handling them themselves. Pay on the day available though

Apologies for going a wee bit off track, but hard up Stevenage are charging £4 for cheesy chips, and they look like this

It makes the burgers and baguettes outside the Madejski seem like Michelin star outlets.

Amazing piece on Pompey. They are still paying 25 players who are no longer at the club.
