Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has confirmed there has yet to be a bid for any of his players.

Reports have claimed that striker Cameron Jerome will be the subject of an imminent bid from Reading, but Hughes is still focused on his first home game in charge.

The Welshman is still likely to include Jerome in his plans for Saturday, and wants to remain entirely concentrated for the clash against Crystal Palace.

Talking to The Sentinel, Hughes said: "I'm sure there will be an interest in a number of our players, but we have not had any bids for any of our players."

A friend is a stoke fan and has said this WILL NOT HAPPEN, he's trained and played well through pre-season and is liked by the Hughes Regime... It's another premier league striker on the fringes of first team squad they we are interested in... Victor Anichibe! I don't pretend to know someone on the inside but heard snippets that we want him on loan but Everton prefer a permanent deal. He's on around 25k a week at Everton compared to the reported 40k Cameron Jerome
