Cracking movement from Lambert to lose his marker. Timed to perfection, sold him the wrong way and then buried it. And bar a bobble he'd have had a brace. Should have done much better with his third effort.
He's smart, he's big and he knows where the goal is. I'd be quite happy with him as a back up striker to use as a super sub. He'll be just as capable of being a flat track bully as Rooney, Defoe, Welbeck, Carroll or Sturridge and he might, just *might* have the nous to score from a set piece against a good team. He's not the future, but he's a decent stop gap whilst the likes of Welbeck and Sturridge prove themselves properly and we're waiting for someone else to come through.
